Hidden, Part One

Amazon Five Star Reviews:

Linda Berry brings the rugged characters and landscapes of Central Oregon to life with detail and emotion. She has an uncanny knack for revealing the soft underbelly of the hardest individuals.

— Paul Bacon, Author of Bad Cop: New York’s Least Likely Police Officer Tells All

If the measure of a great novel is that you want to keep turning the pages, then Hidden is a smashing success! Berry has created a cast of richly detailed characters—some we empathize with from the first moments we meet them, others we loath with a feral intensity. But what makes Hidden especially enjoyable is the beautiful Oregon scenery combined with a tense and compelling plot. Sully, a Marine veteran, returns home hoping to recover from the violence he has witnessed and been a party to. But a ring of horse thieves has a different plan, and soon Sully is forced to fight for his life and that of his father. Five stars and highly recommended!

Pretty Corpse

Amazon Five Star Reviews:

This is Linda Berry’s second thriller and once again she delivers a vivid and thoughtful plot with multidimensional characters. Well-conceived and intelligently executed, Pretty Corpse is a gripping police thriller. In Patrol Officer Lauren Starkley, Linda Berry gives us a strong and intelligent protagonist, one who is determined to see the job completed—even if that means jeopardizing her career. With a serial rapist prowling the streets of San Francisco, Starkley must outsmart the sadistic assailant before her daughter becomes the next victim. The pace and dialog both move along smartly. Pretty Corpse is a must-read for any fan of suspense and thrillers.

It’s been a long time since I’ve had a night of just-one-more-chapter reading, but Linda Berry’s Pretty Corpse did it for me! With a lead character that’s intelligent and real, and twists that kept me guessing, this is a book I’ve already recommended to a lot of my friends. I’m eagerly looking forward to reading more about Lauren Starkley.

The Writer is By Nature a Dreamer

“Many people hear voices when no one is there. Some of them are called mad and are shut up in rooms where they stare at the walls all day. Others are called writers and they do pretty much the same thing.”
